In the Algarve And just like that, I’m back in Portugal again..! Third time this year is a charm. When an opportunity came up to visit the south of the country, the Algarve, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s a country so close to my heart now, but I still hadn’t been to an area so very well known (especially amongst us Brits). I’ll be telling you everything about the trip a post at the weekend, but until then, a quick outfit. A dress that I thought deserved it’s very own post! I know that we’re heading into Autumn (I’m obsessing over big knits and boots at the moment too) but I thought there was still something quite Autumnal about this dress, so perhaps it’s one for those of you in warmer climates that want to join in with the cosy warm red hues. I first spotted this dress on a lady at a festival – it looked ridiculously floaty and she couldn’t have looked more carefree in it, so with the help of Lily (because I don’t think I’d ever ask a stranger a question unless it was life threatening) I found out where it was from and ordered it the same day. It’s from a website called Floryday – exactly the kind of site I would never normally buy from (it looks as though they sell lots of Free People and perhaps other designer copies), but I didn’t recognise this dress as a rip-off, and loved it so much that I bought it anyway, despite the dodgy website. If it was good enough for the lady at the festival, it was good enough for me..! I wore it on a trip to a local village in the Algarve, where we had lunch and learnt crafts at an old mill. Perhaps not the most practical of outfits (some boob tape wouldn’t have gone a-miss) but I certainly enjoyed swishing about in it. More from Portugal in my next post!
