OUTFIT DETAILS London Times Lindsay Midi Dress (c/o) (also love this, this, and this) | Swarovski Necklace (similar here) | Chanel WOC | Christian Louboutin Simple Pump | YSL Lipstick (Smoking Plum) Velvet Dress Inspiration One of my favorite trends this season has been the velvet dress. Velvet is just so luxurious to wear, and it will make any woman feel glamorous! So when I saw this gorgeous burgundy velvet dress from London Times (by Maggy London), I knew I had to have it! What I really like about this dress is how form fitting it is. This velvet dress hugs your natural curves to really highlight your best features. The bell sleeve detail adds a flirtatious touch as well! The burgundy color complements just about every skin tone and is a perfect color to wear in the fall and winter months. The dress speaks for itself, so I kept the accessories fairly minimal. A simple crystal necklace complements this velvet dress well. Black accents in my shoes and bag go well with the velvet color. This outfit is perfect for a fancy dinner date, a wedding, or an elegant party. Maggy London/London times dresses are some of my favorite dresses to wear. Their designs are so classic, yet stylish at the same time. And so many of their dresses come in petite sizes, which I really like! London Times has several other velvet dresses that I like. The Kelly Shift dress is somewhat shorter than the dress I am wearing, and the A-line cut is also very flattering. The Kelly Shift dress comes in burgundy, a pretty blue color and black. The petite Valerie Fit and Flare dress with it’s empire waist will look good everyone. Finally the Odette shift dress with it’s paisley embossed design, is a unique take on the velvet dress trend. Green shift dress with a bottom overlay and high low hemline. This shift dress can run a little on the bigger size. It depends how loose you want the dress to be. Pair this with a brown scarf and some brown boots for the Fall. Keeping the summer look? Pair it with some nude heeled sandals and you are ready to go!
