A White Tee and a Scarf

A white tee and a scarf are two items that many of you probably already have in your closet. I’m going to show you 6 outfits today, and the base of all 6 outfits is simply a white tee and a plaid infinity scarf! For today’s post, I set out to highlight the flexibility of these two items and how they could work in lots of different types of outfits, and I think you will see that I’ve proved my point. In fact, I stopped at 6 outfits today, but I feel like I could have easily thrown together at least 4 more! So, any ol’ white tee will do for these outfits (although I do have some favorites that I’ll be highlighting today). Many of these outfits would also work with scarves you already have, although I do feel like this particular scarf is extra fabulous. The colors are great, it’s not too overwhelming, and because it’s an infinity scarf it totally styles itself! All you have to do is wrap it around your neck twice! When I planned all of these outfits a couple of weeks ago, I used this white tee (the one I say is “like buttah”) for all of the outfit flat lays. However, after I started actually putting the looks together, I realized that this particular tee worked best when the layer worn with it was long (like the hooded blardigan or the long grey cardi). Also, although I have a small in the like buttah tee in the wine color (you can see it on me HERE), the white color was quite a bit bigger. I’m not sure if the one I received was sized wrong, or if maybe the white one is just sized differently?!? Anyway, in the outfits where the layer was shorter (like the military jacket or denim jacket), a tee with less length worked way better. So, when I actually wore those outfits, I subbed in this peplum tee. If you prefer a short sleeved tee, y’all know I love this one from Madewell. OUTFIT #1: I came out of the gate strong with skinny cargo pants, a denim jacket, and a leopard clutch! I adored this whole combination! Fyi, this is one of the outfits that when I actually started putting it on, I realized that a shorter tee was much better proportioned for the jacket. These cargo skinny pants are stretchy and awesome. At 5’4″, the petite sizing was perfect for me for ankle length. butter hi-low top in picture, but THIS PEPLUM TEE actually worked better in real life/ plaid infinity scarf / must have denim jacket / army green skinny cargo pants / booties ON SALE / leopard clutch / earrings Get The Look For Yourself Here: OUTFIT #2 Grey jeans and a military jacket are also a perfect pairing for a white tee and this scarf. butter hi-low top in picture, but THIS PEPLUM TEE actually worked better in real life/ plaid infinity scarf / similar military jacket/ similar grey jeans HERE and similar distressed grey jeans HERE / booties ON SALE booties ON SALE / earrings/ turquoise bracelet Get The Look For Yourself Here: OUTFIT #3: This outfit is a bit unexpected, but I thought pairing the plaid with camo was so much fun. I have a couple pairs of camo pants from years past that I love, but I always get requests for current camo pants. This pair is from Wit and Wisdom, and they have a plus size version also (both linked below)! butter hi-low top / plaid infinity scarf / camo pants (plus size camo pants)/ chevron necklace / booties ON SALE Get The Look For Yourself Here: OUTFIT #4: TALK ABOUT COZY! Beware, if you put this outfit on, you might cancel your errands for the day and just stay in. It’s made up of my pajama jeans, my hooded blardigan, and my slim profile UGG boots. I MEAN, COME ON!!! butter hi-low top / plaid infinity scarf / hooded blardigan (plus size hooded blardigan)/ pajama jeans / slim profile UGG boots Get The Look For Yourself Here: OUTFIT #5: Now, this outfit is probably the most “me”. The must have denim jacket, shoreline converse, and a baseball cap mean I can look cute (even if I haven’t washed my hair in a couple of days). #word butter hi-low top in picture, but THIS PEPLUM TEE actually worked better in real life/ plaid infinity scarf / must have denim jacket / similar grey jeans HERE and similar distressed grey jeans HERE / shoreline converse / initial baseball cap Get The Look For Yourself Here: OUTFIT #6: And here’s an outfit that shows you how a white tee and scarf can be dressed up a bit with a long cardi and some skinny black jeans! And I couldn’t resist adding a tiny little pop of leopard with a skinny belt. butter hi-low top / plaid infinity scarf / articles of society black jeans / leopard belt / booties ON SALE Get The Look For Yourself Here: See y’all back here on Friday for Friday Favorites. And if you are ready to see all of the above outfits on me, you can look forward to Monday’s post! The post A White Tee and a Scarf appeared first on Sheaffer Told Me To.
